Shirley Held Obituary
In loving memory of Shirley Held of Saint Louis Park, Minnesota, who departed this world on March 29, 2025 at the age of 95. Shirley leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Saul; her parents, Louis Zats and Ruth Zats; her siblings, Phillip Zats (Betty), Lenore Applebaum (Burt), Bert Zats and Dorothy Grossman (Mel); and also, Sam Held (Chick), Polly Braunstein (Lou), Betty Zuckman (Maury) and Gale Held (Ruth).
She is survived by: her children, Leslie Held (Jim Chucker), Michelle Shaller (Steven) and Darrel Held (Jodi); her grandchildren, Michael Chucker (Amy), Samantha Hersch (Daniel), Stacey Shaller, Nicole Scharhon (Andrew), Jennifer Boe (Bryan), Daniel Held (Ashley), Melissa Kipersztok, Lindsay Kipersztok and Michael Kipersztok; and her daughter-in-law Judy Chucker. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the United Hebrew Brotherhood Cemetery Chapel (2605 W 70th 1/2 St, Richfield, MN 55423). A shiva was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Knollwood Place (3630 Phillips Pkwy, St Louis Park, MN 55426).
