He was predeceased by: his wife Mae "Mickey" Smith; his parents, William Smith and Fannie Smith; his daughter Marjorie Smith Hofman; and his brothers, Marvin and Richard Smith.
He is survived by: his children, James "Jim" Smith (Joanne) and Rabbi Mitchell Smith; his grandchildren, David Smith (Michelle Wasserman) and Eve Smith; his great grandchildren, Yael and Ari Smith; his sister Lorraine Applebaum; his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Smith and Donald Mains (Rhoda); and his caregivers, Laonia, Stephan, Stella, Jane and Beth.
Masks are mandatory at all services.
Memorials preferred to Herzl Camp, Hadassah and the Harold and Mickey Smith Judaic Studies Department at Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School.
