He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Avery and Daisy Avery; his sister Marie Roberts; his wife Ruby; and his sons-in-law, James Mickelson and Michael Jones.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Mickelson, Dawn Ferguson (Harold) and Darla Jones; his grandchildren, Rob Mickelson (Sarah) and Anne Mickelson; and his great grandchildren, Julia Faye, Penelope Milo, Allan James and Miriam Mae Mickelson.
In lieu of flowers or trees, memorials can be sent to Cornerstone Church in Crystal, Minnesota.
