He is survived by: his wife Marie; his children, Gary Martinez (Lydia), Donna Gears (Cris), Doug Truax (Susie), Daryl Truax, Gail Truax (Tom Triden), Theresa Gilseth (Bob) and Mary Ellen Hausladen (Joe); and his siblings, Gil Truax (Helen), Joe Smith (Judy) and Barb Groth. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, more than 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
