It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis George Merkling of Saint Joseph, Minnesota, who passed away on January 14, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Merkling and Elizabeth Merkling (Marx); his wife Georgie Fisketjon; and his sisters, Margaret, Frances and Marion.

He is survived by: his friend Kitchen; his children, Edwin (Linda), Kristy Schenk (Mark) and Carl (Sarah); his grandchildren, Trenton (Vanessa), Brandon (Amy), Tristin (Dave), Allison (Karl), Andrew and Lillie; and his great grandchildren, Grace and Kaya.
