He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hiemenz and Edith Hiemenz (Philippi); and his wife Aloisia M. "Luise" Linke. He is survived by: his sons, Mike (Kim), Tom and John (Carolyn); and his siblings, Diana Nustad (Rich), Judy Thelen, Jane Dockendorf (Paul "Schengel"), David (Bronwyn) and Yvonne Lee. He is also survived by two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
