He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bechtold and Esther Bechtold (Weyer); his wife Jeanette Undersander of Joseph's Catholic Church; his brother Eugene; and his in-laws, George Molus, Don Steichen, Darlene Bechtold and Eugene Undersander.
He is survived by: his children, Kenny (Helen) of Avon, Marian Loidolt (Dean) of St. Joseph, Sharon Keim of St. Cloud, Diane Fish (Daniel) of Sartell, John of St. Cloud and Carol Silvers (John) of Rosemount; his siblings, Margaret Molus of St. Joseph, Herb of St. Joseph, Agnes Steichen of Waite Park, Anna Reischel (Bob) of St. Joseph, Joe (Joanie) of St. Joseph, David of St. Cloud and Don of St. Cloud; and his sister-in-law Arlene Kremers of Luxemberg. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
