He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter O. Holland and Lena "Hanson" Holland; his siblings, Leonard Holland and Opal Knutson; his siblings-in-law, Beverly Dewall, Betty Meyer, Don Meyer and Jackie Carter; and his grandchildren, Stacey Rae Holland and Kirk Milo Holland.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Carter (Kay); his children, Susan Anderson (Howard Caldwell) of Richmond, Minnesota, Joel Holland (Johannah) of Odin and Charles Holland (Marie) of Marshall, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Holly Eng (Nate), Robin Buhler (Allen), Ehrick Holland (Jennifer), Clinton Holland (Shelly), Ehrin Johnson and Chelsey Sargent (Nate); his great grandchildren, Haley, Kaitlin, Isaac, Peter, Khulyn, Mayson, Khendal, Rebecca, Khyan, Khael, Dominic and Lehti; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Lenz (Dennis), Judy Kramer (Kay) and Lenora Carter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and friends.
