It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karla Jean Schwanz of Saint James, Minnesota, who passed away on November 5, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father David Schaefer; her husband Gary Schwanz; her grandparents, Frederick, Lillie Schaefer (Heinrich), Arnold and Bertha Cook (Wolford); her parents-in-law, Martin and Doris Schwanz; her siblings-in-law, Ann Marie Schaefer, Carol Schaefer and Gerald Schwanz; and her sister Ann Marie Schaefer.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Schwanz (Brooke) of Bloomington and Daron Schwanz of St. James, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Oliver and Fiona; her mother Marlene Ann Schaefer (Cook) of Raeford; her siblings, Steven Schaefer of Cedar Park, Carol Johnson (Mark) of Raeford, Don Schaefer of Edgemont, Carol Schaefer of North Plymouth and Karen Brown (Colin) of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and her sister-in-law Jeanne Schwanz of Jamestown, ND. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
