With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Eileen Pierson of Saint James, Minnesota, who passed away on June 17, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Melson and Esther Melson; her husband Roger L. Pierson; her daughter Connie Fellows; her in-laws, Anton and Helen Pierson; her grandchildren, Samantha Pierson and Ryan (Michelle Mabry); her brother Jerome Melson; and her siblings-in-law, Bernie Syverson, Charlotte Heckman, Viola, Ida Pierson, Dwayne Johnson, Donald Pierson, Leonard Pierson, Larry Pierson and Lloyd Heckman.
She is survived by: her son Roger Pierson, Jr. (Vicki) of New Ulm; her son-in-law Michael Fellows of Tenstrike, Minnesota; her daughter Cathy Mabry (Rob) of Mesa, Arizona; her siblings, June Johnson of Rochester and Roger Syverson of Mesa, Arizona; her siblings-in-law, Gail Melson of Butterfield, Evey Pierson of New Ulm and Wayne Pierson (Connie) of St James; and her grandchildren, Roger Pierson (Amy), Matthew Pierson (Alex), Tony Pierson, Ben Fellows (Becky), Katie Fellows, Allison Dufseth (Aaron), Lisa Kiewatt (Michael), Holly Shimanski, Darren Shimanski (Carleen), Danielle Creason (Jim), Connor Pierson, Ayris, Theron Fellows, Maci, Tanner Dufseth, Ryleigh Mabry, Jordan Creason, Kinley, Avery, Attley and Isley Shimanski. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family prefers memorials be given to the Curing Alzheimer's Disease Foundation.
