He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. H. and Ida Hanson (Sandmeyer); his siblings, Dennis, Howard and Audrey; his in-laws, Michael and Leila Flaherty; his siblings-in-law, Donald Carlson, Tim Sykes, Elwood Wright, Melvin Roiger and Helen Hanson (Scofield); and his nephews, Perry Roiger and Mitch Carlson.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Jeanette Flaherty (Flaherty); his children, Michael Hanson, Jackie of Grand Forks, ND and Beth Hanson of St. Peter, MN.; his grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Parker Hanson, Danielle Gjovik (Hanson), Stephen Berg and Nikki Reed (Berg); his great grandchildren, Lucy, Riley, Noah, Stella, Sawyer, Wyatt, Micah and Ronin; and his siblings, Ilene Carlson of St. James, Irene Wright of St. James, Marilyn Nelson (Joel) of St. James, Gary Hanson of Rapid City, SD and Joseph Hanson (Robin) of North Mankato, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
