She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilhelm Diel and Ana Diel (Blume); her siblings, Carl, Babe, Herb, Paul, Sylvia and Ann; her grandsons, Wayne Paul "Trucker" and Kurtis Dougherty; her son Eugene Dougherty; and her great grandchild William Daniel Edwards.
She is survived by: her former husband Art Dougherty, Sr.; her children, Art, Jr. Dougherty (Brenda) of St. James, Wayne Dougherty of Frost and RuthAnn Dougherty (Ron) of Lake Crystal; and her sister-in-law Doris Diel of Amboy. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
