It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Schroeder of Saint Hilaire, Minnesota, born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, who passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Bengs and Verna Bengs (Griese); her husband Kenneth Orville Schroeder; her daughter Amy Marfell; her sons-in-law, Steph Rian and Mike Szigety; her grandson Jonathan Marfell; and her siblings, Eugene Bengs, Alvin Bengs, Dorothy Kosizety and Lorraine Schendel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ruth Kennedy (Dick) of Plainfield, IN, Myrna Rian of Fountain City, WI and Mary Szigety of St. Hilaire, MN; her son-in-law William "Bill" Marfell of Fergus Falls, MN; her grandchildren, Ben Marfell (Lora), Michael Rian, David Rian (Erin), Jennifer Dyrud (Levi) and Ashley Heppner (Jacob); her great grandchildren, Abigail and Emma Marfell; and her granddaughter-in-law Michelle Wittenburg (Troy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
