He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Stendel and Helen Sexter Stendel; and his granddaughter Faith Stendel. He is survived by: his wife Susan Stendel (Leighton); his sons, Dustin Stendel (Angie) of Albert Lea, MN and Nathan Stendel (Holly) of Hastings, MN.; his stepsons, Tom Etienne (Catrice) of Sartell, MN., Tony Etienne (Kelly) of St. Louis Park, MN. and Spencer Etienne (Michelle) of Hampton, IA.; his grandchildren, Alex, Lauren, McKenna, Kyle, Cody and Hailey; his great grandchild Hudson; his stepgrandchildren, Miranda, Morgan, Maddie, Riley, Andrew, Carter, Corah, Cason, Ethan and Jaxon; and his siblings, Beverly Heaney (Dennis) of DeKalb, IL, Cheryl Becher of Morristown, MN., Brenda Johnson of Faribault, MN. and Brian Stendel (Sue) of New Richland, MN.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
