He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold John and Marie Monica Jacobs (Tomczik); his siblings-in-law, Joseph and Catherine Merdan (Thielman); and also Charlie.
He is survived by: his wife Ione Yvette Merdan; his sons, Aaron (Sarah), Nick (Alicia) and Dan (Lisa); his grandchildren, Joseph, Callie, Cayden, Abigail, Landon, Weston, Brennan, Cullen and Adalyn; his brother Jim (Carol); and his great-nephew Buddy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to Knights of Columbus Council #5548, "Coats for Kids" in lieu of flowers.
