She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Rengel and Ida Rengel (Kaufmann); her siblings, Mercedes Hartman (Art), Cornelius (Billie), Eugene (Bernice) and John (Rosemary); her brother-in-law Peter Thelen; and her nephews, Richard and Robert Rengel.

She is survived by: her sister Hortense "Tennie" Thelen; and her nieces, Marian Rengel and Linda Formhals.
