He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Schafer and Marie Schafer (Barthel). He is survived by: his children, Luke (Beth) of Sartell and Marissa of Woodbury; his siblings, Lowell Schafer (Linda) of Bosman, MT, Charlotte Minier (George) of St. Joseph, Larry Schafer of St. Joseph, Debbie Stevens (Jim) of Plymouth and Denise Bieniek (Tim) of Holdingford; and his grandchildren, Brynley, Connor and Khloe.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (2405 Walden Way, St Cloud, MN 56301).
