She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Slivnik and Florence Slivnik (Niedhardt); her husband John E. Schmidt; her sons, Joseph, Richard and Robert; her sisters, Ruth Andrews, Irene Slivnik and Jane Olson; and her great grandchild Harper Pillsbury.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Schmidt (Becky) of St. Cloud, William Schmidt (Mary Beth) of Fort Meyers, FL, Alan Schmidt (Patti) of Minneapolis and Mary Stiegel (Mark) of St. Cloud; her siblings, Janet Opatz, Joseph Slivnik, Raymond Slivnik (Kay), Sebastian Slivnik, Rita Pierskalla, Carol Krusheck, Patricia Wagner (Stan) and Sharon King; her grandchildren, Lisa, Michelle, Kim, Amy, Laura, Angie, Nikki, John, Stephanie, Matt, Andrew, Andy and Tommy; and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Ella, Oliver, Lilly, Jake, Grady, Hailey, Landyn, Emilie, Julian, Bennett, Dominic, Cora, Maya, Brielle, Brody and Nora.
