He is survived by: his children, Marie Carter Brooks (Dale) of Duluth, MN, Marti Zander (Curt) of Cottage Grove, MN, Mary Gerszewski, Marc Carter of Duluth, MN, Merlin Carter of Fargo, ND and Marla Plante (Kerby) of St. Cloud, MN; his grandchildren, Cole, Ivie Brooks, Michael, Morgan, Matthew Zander, Felicia Gerszewski, Tonya Miller (Colin), Riley, Gabriella Carter, Casi Zimny, Zachary, Jacob and Nicholas Plante; his sister-in-law Carmella Carter; his nephews, Brian Carter and Brian Carter, Jr.; and his niece Karen Carter.
