He was predeceased by: his mother Lilly Tobiassen of Farsund; his stepmother Synnove Tobiassen; his sister Kirsten Riemann; and his stepbrothers, Harold and Einar Jolle.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn J. Lindquist of Sartell; his sons, Matthew Tobiassen (Jami) of Vancouver, WA and Michael Tobiassen of Minneapolis, MN; and his grandchildren, Shyla and Chase. He is also survived by three nieces; one nephew; and many first cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran Church or Luther Theological Seminary.
