He was predeceased by: his parents, John Murphy and Nettie Murphy (Perry); his children, Terrance, Thomas and Mary; his siblings, Jack Murphy (Mary), Donald Murphy (Viola), Janette Connelly (Joe) and Terry Murphy; his brother-in-law Eugene Thyen (June); and also, Leonard and Gertrude Thyen (Luella).
He is survived by: his children, Jim Murphy (Lora) of Wales, WI, Steve Murphy (Charlotte) of St. Cloud, Terese Schaefer (Steve) of Moorhead and Jenny Nelson (Dave) of Rice. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
