He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hughes and Valeria Hughes (Spaniol); his grandson Peter Cashman; and his brother Brian Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Julie Ann Janzen; his children, Mary Coulter (Andy) of Minneapolis, Katherine Cashman (Joe) of Little Canada, Mark Hughes (Megan) of Roseville, Timothy Hughes (Ashley) of Edina, Rachel Bonin (Brian) and Matthew Hughes (Heidi); and his siblings, Kevin Hughes (Joanne), Mary Mathews (Tom) of St. Cloud and Sheila Tembrock (Jim) of St. Cloud. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
