She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund Gits and Theresa Gits; her husband Don; her brother Greg; and her parents-in-law, Francis, Jeanette Hamerlinck, Pauline and Leonard Hoffman.
She is survived by: her daughter Kay; her children-in-law, Donald Hamerlinck, Virginia, Don and S. Naval Base; her sister Pauline Bennett; and her children, Mary O'Dell (Bruce), Thomas (Gail), John (Merrilee), Jim, Paul (Jenny) and Peter (Amy). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Peter's Catholic Church.
