She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hedstrom and Birdie Hedstrom (Leaf); her husband Austen Gilyard; and her siblings, Willie Sandquist (Sandy), Genevieve Lindquist (Orville), Jeanette Hedstrom and Kenneth Hedstrom (Krista).
She is survived by: her children, Marcy Rau (Kenny) of Sauk Rapids, Kermit Gilyard (Debbie) of Princeton, Carol Gilyard (Mike Bendel) of Long Prairie, Nancy Wagner (Dave) of Golden Valley and Dwight Gilyard (Nancy) of St. Cloud; and her sisters, June Peterson (Wendell) of New Brighton, Anna Mae Oelkers of St. Francis and Grace Ward (Phil) of Garrison. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
