Joseph Rueter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Rueter of Saint Cloud, Minnesota, born in Freeport, Minnesota, who passed away on October 24, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Rueter and Eleanore Rueter (Hoeschen); his wife Jan Rueter of Mary's Cathedral; his children, Kathleen Rueter and Brian Rueter; and his siblings, Rita Blommel, Clarence Rueter, Julius Rueter, Benedict Rueter and Juliana Hollerman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Geri Meyer (Karl) of Melrose, Sharon Rueter (Leslie) of Nebraska and Carolyn Messer (Mike) of Sauk Centre; his grandchildren, Megan Droogsma, Christopher Meyer, Kim Johnson, Evan and Owen Messer; his great grandchild Theo Droogsma; and his sisters, Bernadette Ritter and Rosemary Ardoin.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (755 E Kraft Dr, Melrose, MN 56352). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
