He was predeceased by: his parents, George Abfalter and Caroline Abfalter (Smith); his children, Robin Jean of St. Cloud and Allen; his siblings, Mary Roberts, Delores Borash, Dale, Lawrence and Clarence; his daughter-in-law Nikki; and his nephew Lloyd.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hurt of St. Cloud; his children, Cynthia Kranz (Scott) of Little Falls, William (Kathryn) of Becker, James of Big Lake and Steven of Becker; and his siblings, Donna Gaebel of Waite Park, Richard (Janet) of Sauk Rapids, Betty Lou Kruchten of St. Cloud, Jerry (Romaine) of Coon Rapids, Ronald of Clear Lake, Bruce and Shelly Dircks (Craig) of Foley. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
