He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Vernon and Marcella Vernon (Hartinger); and his brother Douglas Vernon. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie L. Weirauch; his daughter Patricia Novotny (Daniel); his grandsons, Blake and Grant; his daughter Tammy Benson (Ted); his grandchildren, Nicholas and Emma; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Weirauch, Rick Weirauch (Margaret), Cindy Hendrickson, Jody Pallies (Dave) and Judy Moen (Jim). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
