He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentine Loehlein and Katherine Loehlein (Karst); his wife Theresa M. Barthel; his siblings, Melvin and Arlene Rohe; and his sister-in-law Alverna Loehlein.

He is survived by: his children, Debbie Ramsdell (Mark) of St. Cloud and Bev Ritzer (Matt) of St. Augusta; his grandchildren, Matthew Ramsdell (Alyssa), Christina Geidel (Josh), Dan Loch (Steph), Nic Loch and Heidi Loch; his great grandchild Abigail Ramsdell; and his brothers, Richard Loehlein (Pat) of Roseville, Leroy Loehlein of Roseville and Jerry Loehlein (Delphine) of St. Stephen.
