He was predeceased by: his parents, Gust N. Borud and Jerline M. Borud (Lundquist); his spouse Shirley A. Larsen; his son Guy; and his brothers, Sheldon and Wyman.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas of St. Cloud, Susan Schwagel (Kenneth) of St. Augusta, Brad (Vicky) of Avon, Christopher of St. Cloud and Melissa Doege (Charles) of St. Joseph. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
