He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Birr and Frieda Birr (Schleicher); his wife Marlene Kelm; his siblings, Evelyn Lemke, Herbert Birr, Louis Birr Jr., ElVerna Kelm, Oswald Birr, ElFrieda Teske, Rueben Birr and Albert Birr; and his grandson Travis Birr.
He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Weisser (Kevin) of St. Joseph, Byran Birr (Lois) of St. Joseph, Bev Jergenson (Craig) of St. Joseph and Bruce Birr (Robbie) of St. Joseph.
Memorials are preferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Prince of Peace Lutheran School.
