He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wuertz and Margaret Wuertz (Waldorf); and his siblings, Melvin, Vivian Mueller and Lorraine Ehresmann.
He is survived by: his wife Leona Ludwig (Feldhege) of Michael's Catholic Church; his children, Gary Ludwig (Lynn) of Amherst, WI, Dale Ludwig (Renee) of Lake Henry, Tom Ludwig of Lake Henry, Cindy Ludwig of Greenwald and Roger Wuertz (Jill) of Cold Spring; his grandchildren, Megan Hahn (Matt), Mike (Amanda), Grant, Paige Ludwig, Dominic, Lane, Gianna DeSmith, Davis and Briggs Wuertz; his great grandchild Rowan Ludwig; and his brother Vernon Wuertz (Pat) of West St. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Margaret's Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
