He was predeceased by: his parents, Quirin Stalboerger and Rita Stalboerger (Eibensteiner); his brother Jim; and his parents-in-law, Marilyn Stalboerger, Cecil Brunner, Marion Brunner and Alvin Meyer.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Clara Lieser; his children, Steve (Jacki) of Eagan, Laura Schmitz (Joel) of St. Martin, Angela of St. Paul, Jennifer Paumen (Cyle) of Clear Lake, Michael (Mandy) of Cold Spring, Nicholas (Annie) of Lake Henry and Ann Fleming (Teddy) of Sartell; his siblings, John Stalboerger (Alice) of St. Cloud, Jane Johnson (Dave) of Brooklyn Center, Bonnie Meyer (Rich) of Milaca, Doreen Meyer (Jim) of St. Cloud, Doris of Austin, Glen (Pat) of Cold Spring and Deb Hertzog (Tom) of Alexandria; and his parents-in-law, Cyrilla Michael (Dave) of Freeport, Larry Brunner of Belgrade and Mary Ann Meyer of Paynesville. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He received a kidney transplant on September 12, 2012, donated by his son Michael.
