He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leland and Gladys Leland (Root); his son Steven; his siblings, Curtis Howard, Curtis Dean and Joyce Holcomb Bengston; and his granddaughter Rachel Rasmussen.
He is survived by: his wife Olive Hanson; his children, Barbara Rasmussen (Allen) and Bruce Leland (Jan); his grandchildren, Quinn (Amber), Anne, Jordan Rasmussen (Cassie), Molly Comer (Clarke) and Maggie Sisser (Joey); his great grandchildren, Reagan, Cooper Rasmussen, Grant, Callie Comer and Addison Sisser; and his sister Lois Walstrom. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church of Alexandria.
