He was predeceased by: his parents, Fritz Nelson and Bernice Nelson; his wife Marleen; and his siblings, Shirley, Pat and Carolyn.
He is survived by: his children, Deb Johnson, Pete Nelson (Peggy), Tom Nelson (Cheryl), Mike Nelson (Barb) and Terra Lidbom; his siblings, Yvonne Pavlich and Marlyn Lundeen; and his brother-in-law Dave Harrison. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
