He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Koep, Sr. (Poltiske) and John Sr.; his wife Mary Jane; his brother Patrick "Butch" Koep; his brother-in-law John Hockert; his nephew Darrin Koep; and his niece Nicole Parkin.
He is survived by: his former wife Norma Daas; his children, Scott Koep (Janet) of Urbank, Melissa "Missy" Bitzan (LeRoy) of Alexandria and Kelly Koep-Naab (Rod) of Miltona; his siblings, Daryl Koep of Minneapolis, Mike Koep (Donna) of Urbank, Greg Koep (Linda) of Brandon, Dianne Hockert of Eden Prairie and Shelley Parkin (Jeff) of Alexandria; his grandchildren, Lance Diedrich, Hunter, Hailey Naab, Rachel, Lucas, Teresa Bitzan, Brea and Ella Koep; his close friend Marge Bettin of Alexandria; and his former wife Norma Lanoue (Tim) of Nelson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
