He was predeceased by: his father Richard Sanow; his grandparents, Martha Sanow, Leo and Edith Rothmeier; his father-in-law Clarence Theil; his uncle Doug Sanow; and his aunts, Phyllis Sanow and Sharon Schmidt.

He is survived by: his mother Brenda Sanow (Rothmeier) of Lynd; his sister Nichole "Nicky"; his former wife Michelle "Shelly" Staples of Slayton; his wife Nicole Sanow of Russell; his daughters, Miranda Sanow of Lake Benton, Savanna Sanow of Russell, Samantha Hook (Josh) of Russell, Courtney Johnson (Paul Knorr) of Fulda and Amber Knakmuhs of Marshall; his siblings, Nichole Holmes (Gerald) of Russell, Elizabeth Sanow of Garvin, Mike Sanow (Lacey Grant) of Russell and Rick Sanow (Darcy Nawrocki) of Marshall; his grandson Leo Kruse; and his stepgrandchildren, Gavin, Gannon, Gage, Graham Hook and Oaklee Knorr. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Occupancy limits and social distancing must be observed throughout all services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor's choice.
