She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Reiter and Grace Reiter (Feeken); her husband Dick A. Jacobs; her stepmother Katie Reiter; her son-in-law Carl Smid; her sister Frances; her brother-in-law Kelly Alberts; and her brothers, Ray and Ubbe.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Smid and Randy Jacobs (Joyce); her granddaughters, Laura and Sarah Jacobs of Brookings, SD; her stepgrandson Jeremey Smid (Marcie); her stepgreat-granddaughter Haley Smid (Trevor Logan) of Truman, MN; her brother Arnold Reiter (Gail) of North Mankato, MN; and her sister-in-law Norma Reiter of Rogers, AR. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
