He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Groninga and Margaret Faith Groninga of Rushmore, MN.; and his sisters, Bernice Jahnke of St. Paul, MN and Betty Hoiland of Rock Rapids, IA. He is survived by: his wife Nelma Prins; his children, Billy Groninga (Dorene) of Vergas, MN and Bonni Groninga of Ft. Worth, TX; his grandchildren, Meghan Dohrer (Glenn) of Detroit Lakes, MN, Christopher Groninga (Shelby Reetz) of Detroit Lakes, MN and Stevie Marie Groninga of Lake Park, MN.; and his great grandchildren, Shyann Nicole Dohrer, Nolan Everett Dohrer, Madysen Grace Ward, Marleigh Rose Ward, Braylen Joe Groninga, Briley Lynn Groninga and Pyper Marie Groninga. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
