He was predeceased by: his parents, George Munkel and Wilhelmina Munkel (Saathoff); his parents-in-law, Roger and Dorothy Hieronimus; his sister Marlene Tuin (Don); and his sister-in-law Geri Munkel.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Munkel; his children, Sara Ponto (Darrel), Amber Miller (Kyle) of Marcus, IA and Mathew Munkel; his grandchildren, Carter and Luke Ponto; his children, Asya, Brayden and Braxton Miller; and his brothers, William Munkel of Sioux Falls, SD and Robert Munkel (Rosella). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Ed was known as a giving person and even in death, his giving continues as his donation of tissues will touch the lives of as many as fifty people.
