He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul C. Bunke and Ragna Bunke (Boe); his wife Ethel McElmury; his sons, Richard and Ronald; his granddaughter JoNelle Bunke; his great grandchild Jackson Schneider; and his siblings, Paul, Edgar, Melvin "Pete", Esther, Earl, Myrtle, Elfreida, Grace, Marilyn, Stanley and Clinton.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Magnuson (John) of Rushford, Donald Bunke (Lila) of Rushford, Duane Bunke (Ingrid) of Rushford, Kathryn Eide (Larry) of Rushford, Cindy Severson (Jim) of Rochester, Nancy Brommerich (David) of Winona and Terry Crandall (Richard) of Galena, IL; and his brother Robert Bunke (Bettie Lou). He is also survived by 32 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorials directed to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
