He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Gilbertson and Gilda Gilbertson (Evenson); his son Scott; his grandson Lucas; his brother Jerry Gilbertson; and his brother-in-law Wayne Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Johnson; his son Mitch Gilbertson (Sandy) of Rushford; his grandchildren, Danielle Linder (Drew), Kelsey Gilbertson (Jake Rasmussen), Anessa Ohms (Larry), Tony Gilbertson (Wendy) and Jenna Andrade (Erick); and his friend Dr. John Peterson. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
