It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Mae Johnson (Rushford, Minnesota), who passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Overland and Olga Overland (Helleland); her husband Carmen E. Johnson; her son-in-law Ron Simpson; and her siblings, Robert Overland, Willard Overland and Edith Peterson (Jerviss).
She is survived by: her children, Steven of Lanesboro, MN, Connie Simpson of Bangor, WI and Fay Himlie (Ross) of Rushford, MN; her granddaughters, Nell Himlie and Leah Himlie; her sister-in-law Irene Overland; her nieces and nephews, Shelley Jerviss, Larry Jerviss, Brian Jerviss (Lisa), Lee Jerviss (Carolyn), Verlyn Johnson and Shirley Voll (Ed); her cousin Beverly Simpson; and her close friends, Lois and Peter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.
