Orval Lea Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Orval Lea of Rushford, Minnesota, who passed away on December 9, 2020 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Theodore Lea and Mary Lea (Mikkelson); his son-in-law Kjell O. Nordlie; his granddaughter Christine Nordlie; and his great grandchild Emerson Barbaro.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Berekvam; and his children, Elaine Nordlie, Barbara Kay (Craig Kay), Gary Lea (Tara) and Ronda Flattum (Lowell Flattum). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
Orval was so sad when his children could not visit him the last ten months of his life due to the COVID pandemic, but he held out to his goal, his 100th birthday, partly because he knew his children would be allowed to visit and celebrate with him.
