The memory of Karrol Burton Benson (Rushford, Minnesota), who passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Benson (Knutson) and Ruth Knutson; his stepfather Emer Knutson; his former wife Mary Anne Overland; and his stepson Jeff Engstler.
He is survived by: his wife Mercedes "Cedy"; his children, Randy Benson (Kim), Mike Benson (Karen) and Mary Kaye Bunke (Vern); his grandchildren, Adam, Breanna, Brittany, Lacey, Tyler, Kelsey, Ashley and Bekka; his sisters, Cathy Haug (Wayne), Renae Novak (Denny) and Pam Johnson (Richard); his stepchildren, Karen Christiano (Bob), Lori Van Gundy and Jim Engstler; and his stepgrandchildren, Matt, Shawn, Adam, Toni, Robbie, Alex and Zach. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hoff Funeral Home (710 E Cedar St, Houston, MN 55943). A memorial service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
