He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Lindgren; his son Mike Brandvold (Catrina Wolfe); his grandchildren, Tuuli of Sausalito, CA and Linda McPeak (Tom) of Houston, MN; his great grandchildren, Eric McPeak (Julia Klimas) of Shakopee, MN, Megan McPeak (Marcus Chaloupek) of Minneapolis, MN and Rebecca McPeak (Sam Abraham) of Windom, MN; and also, Brent Brandvold (Ginger) and Bruce Brandvold (Joyce).

The family prefers memorials directed to Sons of Norway Foundation and Valley View Nursing Home Foundation of Houston, MN.
