He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Smuder and Bettie Smuder (Zimdars); and his brother Terry Smuder. He is survived by: his children, Daniel Smuder and Beth Kempf (Jamie); his grandsons, Matthew and Tyler Kempf; his sister Sue Kruse (Lonnie); and his close friends, Erik Piel, Karrissa Kirchberg, Neil Biermaier and Craig Peterson. He is also survived by dogs, who weren't just pets, but were his best friends.
