Margarette Brooker Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margarette Brooker of Rush City, Minnesota, born in Washington Park, Illinois, who passed away on August 28, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Guy Poole and Margarette Poole; her husband Donald Brooker of North Branch; her sister Joyce Koenig; her sister-in-law Marge Nolan of California; her children, Lisa Kajer (Tom) of Staples, Kim Hinrichs (Dan) of Grantsburg, WI, Jana Bauer (Mark), Greg Brooker (Valerie Marquardt) of Minneapolis and Erin Waters (Robert) of Rush City; and her grandchildren, David, Kristin, Margaret, Tanyele, Jason, Dan, Rachael, Kevin, Kathleen, Anne, Trenton and Tom. She was also cherished by 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Margarette was an active volunteer right up until her death, cutting out obituaries for The Dragonfly Project, a grief-support organization, and sewing masks for the Lakewood Health System in Staples during the Covid-19 pandemic.
