He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Nelson and Norma Nelson (Powell); his parents-in-law, Stanley and Marge Teeman; and his siblings-in-law, Alan Higgins and Cindy Teeman.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Nelson of Rush City; his children, Maggie Hensley (Randy) of Pleasanton, KS, Ben Nelson (Amber) of Hazen, ND, Becki Brown (Eric) of Rush City and Danielle Carlson (Ricky) of Rush City; his grandchildren, Tammy, Brandon, Martina, Ryan, Samantha, Randi, Summer Hensley, Grace, Faith, Trinity Nelson, Taya, Addison Brown, Audrey, Clayton and RaeLynn Carlson; his brother LeRoy Nelson (LaVern) of Flensburg; and his brothers-in-law, Chuck Higgins (Diane) of Sandstone, Mike Higgins (Jackie) of North Branch, Patrick Higgins (Mary) and Ron Teeman of Rock Creek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
