He was predeceased by: his parents, Ullen Johnston and Alma Johnston; his sister Pearl Theising; his wife Sharon Johnston; his daughter Sheila Johnston; and his granddaughter Marsha Johnston.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Johnston (Liz) of Rush Point, Todd Johnston, Clinton Johnston of Minneapolis and Cory Johnston (Beth) of Sioux City, Iowa; and his siblings, Marlene Biggins of Cambridge, Lee Johnston (Bunny) of Swanville, Joan Havel (John) of Rush City and Pauline Anderson of Cambridge. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
