He is survived by: his former wives, Gloria Spalding (Heinz) and Rose Mary Mettenberg Nelson; his children, Tricia, Missy, Patricia Nelson, Melissa Gunnink (Patrick) and Michael Mettenberg; his siblings, Richard Nelson (Martha), Steven Nelson (Shirley), Barb Jacquemark (Bill) and Evylin Loidolt-Marble; and his grandchildren, Tylor Hartman, Andrew Chisholm and Kai Belanger. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
